Assistance

Supportive services for seniors, age 60 and over, include: Tax Prep Assistance, Golden Buckeye Applications, Check Writing / Bill Paying, Escort Services, Medical Appointment Scheduling, Shopping Assistance, Telephone Reassurance, and Nutrition Education. Assistance and advocacy in obtaining benefits or services (Medicare, Medicaid, Insurance, Food stamps).

Case Management

Case manager available for clients who receive homemaking and personal care.

House Cleaning

General house cleaning services available to those seniors, age 65 and over, who need assistance. Includes laundering, vacuuming, dusting, and a variety of other duties.

Legal Services

Seniors, age 60 and over, may access legal information concerning public benefits, unemployment compensation, wills, etc.. Service is free of charge to seniors calling 1-800-488-6070.

Meals

"Meals on Wheels" delivered daily to Clinton County disabled, home-bound seniors, age 60 and over, who are unable to prepare a hot nutritious meal for themselves.

Recreation

Variety of activities available at congregate sites in Wilmington, and Blanchester. Activities include: cards, bingo, movies, billiards, chair volleyball, exercise and craft classes.

Referral

Licensed social worker assists clients in locating and obtaining services to meet their needs.

Resource Center

Caregiver's Resource Center is designed for caregivers of an elderly family member or friend. Provides a variety of resource material, support services, information and referrals at no cost.

Transportation

Transportation available for seniors, age 60 and over, to meal sites, medical appointments, shopping centers, etc. Wheelchair accessible vehicles available with one-day advance notice. Service supported by participant donations.

Assistance

The Clinton County Elderly Services Program (ESP) is a tax-payer funded program that provides in-home care for eligible seniors who might otherwise be forced to leave their homes and enter a nursing facility.
You may qualify for ESP if you are: a Clinton County resident, age 65 or older, impaired in everyday activities such as bathing, driving and preparing meals. ESP provides services such as Meals on Wheels, personal care (bathing and grooming), home-making and emergency response devices, to name a few. ESP clients also have a care manager who advocates for their needs, answers questions, and makes sure they receive the right services. Services are free or set at an affordable level depending on your income.

Assistance

Council on Aging (COA) is the state-designated Area Agency on Aging for southwestern Ohio, including Clinton County. COA offers free or low-cost programs to help older adults live safely and independently in their own homes. Services include: personal care, homemaking services, home-delivered meals, transportation, training and support for family caregivers, long-term care planning, home repairs and modifications. COA is a one-stop resource for connecting to programs and services in the community: housing, legal assistance, Medicare and more.

Socialization

Gives seniors a place to gather for positive social experiences. Offer many organized events to maintain a high level of activity and personal contact.
