Assistance

Educational Audiologists provide audiological services for children birth to 22 years; provide technical assistance in the use / maintenance of hearing aids and audio trainers

Consultations

Audiologists provide consultation and inservices to school district personnel, families, and agencies.

Evaluation

Audiologists provide individual audiological evaluations.
Resource Language Therapists evaluate for augmentative and alternative communication and computer access, and coordinates training in the area of assistive technology.

Family Support

Provide family support and one-on-one instruction via home visits for preschool children who are hard-of- hearing / deaf.

Preschool

Hopewell / Highland County Head Start Cooperative Preschool Classroom provides a developmentally appropriate preschool classroom for preschool children who are hard-of-hearing / deaf.

Professional Training

Itinerant Teachers for Hard of Hearing/Deaf provide inservice training for school personnel and parents.

Screening

Audiologists conduct audiological screenings for special programs.

Training

Itinerant Teachers for Hard of Hearing/Deaf provide instructional services to students needing additional support, and check / maintain hearing aids and other amplification equipment.
