The agency provides a 24-hour crisis line, seven days a week, to provide crisis intervention to sexual assault, domestic violence and stalking victims, as well as to offer referrals to appropriate community services.
Provides training for community law enforcement officials, medical personnel, and social service providers who handle rape and domestic violence situations. Staff and volunteers also present speeches to civic, church and social groups on topics such as rape and rape prevention, and domestic violence.
Offer victim support groups for the following: sexual assault, domestic violence, women who resort to violence, and children who have witnessed domestic violence. Support groups help victims cope with confusion, anger and fear often experienced after episodes of incest, rape or domestic violence. Groups enable victims to share experiences and feelings and provide them with support to overcome their fears and feelings of isolation.
